This session will begin with a gentle aerial flow as we explore the topic of mindfulness. Following the movement part of the class we'll further the discussion on eating mindfully as we enjoy some light snacks and appetizers (vegan options will be provided).
Aerial yoga helps with the decompression of the spine. Turning upside down increases the release of neurotransmitters which decreases anxiety and stabilizes mood. Other benefits of aerial yoga include increased lymphatic flow which boosts the immune system.  The pressure put on the diaphragm helps to improve lung health and the pressure on internal organs helps with digestive issues.  Going upside down also helps with blood flow to the brain improving memory, and slowing the aging process.

If you are pregnant, have extremely high or low blood pressure, or have osteoporosis, please don't practice aerial yoga.
