For more than two decades, Emmy Award Winning Sonia Azad has served as a trusted voice in broadcast journalism, known for translating complex health and science topics into clear, evidence-based stories. Her work has earned top honors from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters and built her reputation as a steady, truth-telling presence in an over-saturated media landscape.
Now, she channels that same credibility in the wellness world, teaching yoga, meditation and breath work at retreats and studios across the globe. Sonia has also translated her media skills into freelance content creation with aligned brands and organizations.
Sonia is a Level 2 CYT with the American Yoga Council & certified Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. A lifelong student first, Sonia has completed more than 1,400 hours of teaching, with certifications in Yoga Tune Up®, Body By Breath®, and Yin Yoga. She is certified in 23 lineages of Meditation (RMT 200). Her continued studies in Reiki, Chinese Medicine, Neuroplasticity, Sound Healing, and Nutrition Science reflect her holistic approach to nervous-system regulation and self-directed healing.
