The Upanishads state that there are two ways to quiet the consciousness:  A complete elimination of desire and pranayama.

Join Paul Menard as we take the time to dive into breathing with the intention of moving into quiet. Together we will explore pranayama as a means to soothe, focus and free consciousness. Time will be spent preparing the body and mind to accept the gifts that pranayama has to give and practicing breathing techniques as a pathway to stillness.

“Pranayama Regulates not only the flow of energy but also restrains the movement of the mind. Pranayama clears and soothes the febrile brain which hampers right thinking and reasoning, and the mind is lifted toward meditation. “ BKS Iyengar

Conscious Connection:Thai Massage for Self-Care, Safe Assisting, and Play
Friday June 12, 2026 10:30am - 11:30am EDT
Limited Capacity seats available
Pair up with a friend and learn the art of listening with hands, head, and heart.  Combine the knowledge of doshic body type from Ayurveda with the tools of “the lazy women’s yoga,” Thai massage, to make your touch skillful, safe, and effective.  Learn body mechanics from yoga to make the practice of giving, an art of receiving as well- as good for the practitioner as it is for the recipient. Terrel and Kimberly will take you through a 60-minute guided flow for the whole body while teaching you to tune into the subtle language of the client’s body to take your cues for pressure, pace, and comfort.  Go back to your family, friends, and clients with confidence to help them feel better and with a new way to connect and play.

Thai massage is done on the floor with client fully clothed.  It combines range of motion for the joints, stretching and passive postures from the yoga tradition, and massage applied with hands, feet, elbows, and knees to open energy lines of the body.

EMBODY: Awareness and Presence
Friday June 12, 2026 12:30pm - 1:30pm EDT
Limited Capacity seats available
During this yoga practice you can expect gentle and thoughtful movement to help you arrive in your body & breath, and kind and mindful hands on assists to help you ground in the present moment. To EMBODY is to listen—truly listen—and to turn toward the softest murmurings of the self. Those quiet whispers so often drowned beneath the noise of haste, numbness, and thought.
E:Energy  M:Metta  B:Breath  O:Observe  D:Discover  Y:Yield
To be embodied is to remember the body not as a shell for the mind, but as a wise and breathing companion—a sacred vessel of memory and sensation, of longing, love, and spirit. Through it, we feel, we speak, we touch the world and allow the world to touch us back. It is through flesh and breath that our truth takes form and walks itself into being.
